Children’s Ministry

Our children’s ministries are designed to reach children and their families with the love of Jesus, helping them to grow as committed disciples and experience God’s life changing love. Each Sunday morning children participate in age appropriate classes. Bible lessons and activities are taught in such a way that each child is able to apply the truth of God’s Word to his/her life. All of the class teachers and helpers are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.
“Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
Proverbs 22:6
The Gospel Project
The Bible is not just a collection of stories – it is one story, the story of God’s plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. Join us each Sunday morning and learn how the Good News of Jesus Christ is present in the entire Bible.
Jr and Sr High Youth Ministries
Jr High and Sr High are the some of the most important times in a person’s developmental life. First Cov Youth, led by Pastor of Youth and Children Brandon Smart, is designed to help students pursue Christ and move towards Christ-likeness, all while having fun in the process! Click the link below to find out more!
Adult Choir
The Choir, under the direction of Joan Sikkens, practices each Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 PM in the Peterson House. We warm up on Sundays at 9:00 AM in the Peterson House and sing for the Traditional Worship Service which begins at 9:30 AM. Please remember – reading music is not a requirement. This is a wonderfully enjoyable ministry to be a part of – praying, singing, laughing, and sweet fellowship. For more information, call Joan Sikkens at 707-839-1452.
Solos: Covenant Young Adults
Solos is our Young Adult Ministry for college-age adults. Whether attending school or not, we welcome all emerging adults age 18 to 20-something to join us Sundays at 6:00pm for a meal, devotional, and in-depth look into the Bible, all while having a ton of fun.

Small Groups
In small groups people are better able to interact and learn about a topic from the Bible, than in a larger group. For that reason, our church has small group Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twenty people. Participation and discussion are encouraged.
Small Group
Women’s Groups
Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.
Men’s Groups
Friendship, accountability, and time in Bible study are all vital to developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Our men’s groups are designed to protect, encourage, and disciple men of all ages.
Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the 50+ group of First Covenant provides refreshment and times of valuable interaction. We meet quarterly for a 50+ Potluck Lunch. See the Church Calendar or the Sunday Bulletin for the date of the next luncheon.
